It is recommended that you apply for your Marriage License from the County Clerk at least one month prior to the event. You will need photographic proof of identification and proof of your age - either a driver's license, passport or alien resident card. Couples must appear together to obtain their License. In the case of any previous marriages, you must show proof that you are no longer legally married if the divorce occurred within the past two years. The Marriage License is only valid for a period of 90 days from the date you receive it. If your marriage does not take place within those 90 days, a new Marriage License must be obtained.
